Online Sound Studio

A few years ago I got my first study at home and I found the whole thing a bit of a minefield. In this article I will do my best to be like a fairy very sweaty Mother of God to guide you through all the many products available on the market.

I'm a big high-tech, so I use very simple home design studio recording to be as easy as possible to gather ideas. In this way the technology is not in the way of the creative process hopefully if you are a kind of singer-songwriters, this guide will save you time.

First things first, let me take over what I use so which can copy ;-)

Home Design Studio – The Computer

Personally, I love the feel of a white spot Mac book, and also I recently got an iMac with an extra two gigs of RAM for ultra quick start edition.

The other major benefit of a Mac is that it comes with Garage Band, which to me is a big player in the recording software market. (More on this later)

Home Design Studio – The microphone

The best cheap microphone that I have found so far is a Studio Projects B1, this is a condenser microphone rather large, which is very versatile and can take a good beating. (Which is good for me because I become very passionate and angry during the recordings and Wimpy little Mics have no chance!) Once spent $ 5000 on a very nice microphone Neumann only to drop the plum thing on the floor and break on the first day of use.

Home Design Studio – Software

For years I've been going and talks about Pro Tools, but now I have changed my mind, if you really want to get some quick recordings in the can then Garage Band is by far the way easier to use to get started.

I know a lot of guys will study house around saying I'm crazy, but at the end or the day I am a producer lazy and want the melody sounds good at the click of a button. GarageBand is the only piece of software that gives me what I'm looking for.

Home Design Studio – Audio Interface

This is basically what you need to make your guitar or voice appears inside a computer and make wavy lines on the screen. I like the Mbox because it has a pair of tickets and it's nice and compact.

Home Design Studio – midi controller

When I add a bit of rope or perhaps a low attractive M Audio switch on my keyboard and use a program called "The reason that gives me access to more than one thousand samples of very good quality, a must if you have an ambitious sound mind and have no access to an army of session musicians.

Home Design Studio – Drums

Keep it simple is not going to hire a drummer, the drum machines Dr library are as good as any.

Home Design Studio – Talent ;-)

If your song lyrics are not good, then it really does not matter how big your setup. Take your time and do everything possible to produce something interesting and original. Luckily I am a musical genius so it's not a problem for me ;-)

This guide has given a rare glimpse into my own home studio setup, there are times when my customers demand the very recent art and more expensive microphone that means I have to call the store rent but 90% is achieved as shown above. These are the very basics to get you up and running, I know there are a million and one other widgets to give a sound more polished, but if you want to start executing go through this list and make it happen.

Steven Spielberg’s 1993 mega-hit rivals Jaws as the most intense and frightening film he’d ever made prior to Schindler’s List, but it was also among his weakest stories. Based on Michael Crichton’s novel about an island amusement park populated by cloned dinosaurs, the film works best as a thrill ride with none of the interesting human dynamics of Spielberg’s Jaws. That lapse proves unfortunate, …

Village of the Damned [VHS]

$19.49

The original 1960 version of Village of the Damned is regarded as a classic of science-fiction and horror, and it remains one of the creepiest movies of its kind. Directed with occasional flair by John Carpenter, this 1995 remake trades subtlety for more explicit chills and violence, but the basic premise remains effectively eerie. In the tiny, idyllic town of Midwich, a strange mist causes the en…
