I need help with reducing echo in my dance studio!?

I have a new dance studio with wooden floors, mirrors and 13 feet high ceilings. The echo in the study is unbearable and difficult to contain children or tap dance with a sound much. The echo is so bad that we can not even listen to music through our casting. All sounds that bounce everywhere! Any ideas?

To reduce the echo it is best to "soften" some of the surfaces. A roof made with Acoustic tile is a great help, not only to reduce echo, but also for cable access. Heavy curtains and carpets are also good. A carpet is a bit better than a tile or wood floor. If you are planning a full plaster room are a few things you should consider. Use large wooden beams and walls in the roof. This not only catch the sound, echo reduction, but also looks better. Nor that the "very high ceiling. A roof reduces the time delay of the echo that last instance, he kills the echo faster than a high ceiling. If you have a room with echo problems, the safest solution is to add a wall acoustic treatment. Alectra Systems installed Fabricmate acoustic treatment, which is famous not only for its excellent sound damping, but also is great looking.
